Our Story

         Batika Kebaya is a Malaysian based brand specialising in Nusantara traditional wear on a mission to find meaning in tradition. Founded in 2012 by Noorul-Hudaa Abdul-Rahman, Batika Kebaya was inspired by her Indonesian mother. Admiring vintage photos of her mother, Hudaa wanted to bring back a tradition that's slowly taken over by fast fashion.

          Today, we at Batika Kebaya are motivated by the promise of preserving the intricacies and quality of a craft that draws inspiration from Indonesia and Malaysia's rich history.
